IN 2006 THE GRAMMY FOUNDATION NAMED THE ANN ARBOR PIONEER HIGH SCHOOL MUSIC DEPARTMENT THE BEST IN THE NATION! READ ALL ABOUT IT…

Musical excellence has been a tradition at Ann Arbor Pioneer High School for nearly a century. And so it is today with the Pioneer Bands. We welcome friends, alumni, students and parents to the home of the Pioneer High School Bands!

Use the links in the left hand column as a starting point to discovering everything on this site. Our Focus Pages can help you explore up-to-date information about our program. Announcements provide current news of particular interest to individual groups. The Search box on the right can also help you locate the key information you are looking for.

Friends of the Pioneer Bands will find information about our directors, our ensembles, accolades we have received, our upcoming concerts, and ways to support our program. We are grateful for the support of our community!

Alumni of the Pioneer Bands will find special memory pages, information about The Centennial Project celebrating the history of our program, and ways they can reconnect with the current program. We are proud of our alumni and the legacy of excellence they have created!

Band students and parents can find a wealth of information as they enjoy the opportunities and challenges of this excellent program. We want to help new students and young musicians become acclimated to our program easily and quickly. Parents can discover ways they can be involved through the Pioneer Band Association. We try to cover all the activities and events students and their families will encounter, from band registration in August to Picnic Pops in the spring, along with providing all the resources and forms they will need.

Contact information for our directors and support volunteers is posted for your convenience, as well as links to our our school, community and music affiliates.

Discover why Ann Arbor is so proud of the treasure they have in the Pioneer Bands!
